What you are looking at

Plan names, premiums, in-network out-of-pocket limits and drug deductibles come from the CMS public landscape files for 2027. Until CMS loads 2027 star ratings into that file, each plan shows its contract’s 2026 rating, labelled “2026 rating”.

What the list cannot tell you

Whether your doctors are in network, how your prescriptions are covered, and which pharmacies are preferred. I check all three with you before you choose. In 2026, Part D drug costs are capped at $2,100 a year.

Common questions

When can I change my Medicare plan for 2027?

During the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, 2026. Changes take effect January 1, 2027. People in a Medicare Advantage plan also have January 1 to March 31 to switch plans or return to Original Medicare.

Why do the 2027 plans show 2026 star ratings?

The CMS plan data behind this tool did not yet carry 2027 star ratings when it was loaded, so each plan shows its contract’s 2026 overall rating, labelled with the year; check a plan’s 2027 rating on Medicare.gov Plan Finder.

Do I still pay the Part B premium with a $0 premium Medicare Advantage plan?

Yes. You keep paying your Part B premium (2026: $202.90 a month, or more with IRMAA) unless a program such as a Medicare Savings Program pays it for you.

Does this plan finder check my doctors and prescriptions?

Not yet. It shows premiums, out-of-pocket limits and drug deductibles from the CMS files. Jackie checks your doctors, pharmacies and prescriptions against each plan before you choose, at no cost to you.

Which county plan list does my New Jersey ZIP code use?

Medicare Advantage plans are approved county by county. The finder matches your ZIP code to its county with the Census Bureau 2020 ZIP code to county file. A few New Jersey ZIP codes cross a county line; when yours does, the finder asks which county your address is in, because that decides the plan list.
