Retirement income gap
Compare the monthly income you will need in retirement with what Social Security, pensions and other income will pay.
It is not enough to protect your life and health; you also need to protect your nest egg, because it needs to last for years to come. The main goal of our Income Strategy Session is to look at a plan that lets you keep living the lifestyle you want with the nest egg you have built. Circumstances change, so we are here to work with you over the long term and update your strategy when they do.
Final expense, annuity and supplemental products are subject to underwriting and carrier approval. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing company. Nothing on this site is tax, legal or investment advice.
Most of our clients fall into one or more of four groups. Knowing which one is closest to your situation helps decide which strategy fits.
Healthy, active people planning retirement around the things they love. Whatever your hobby or passion, you want to feel confident you have the income to support your lifestyle. For this group the strategy stresses stability, income and room for growth.
Seniors facing medical issues that will affect their retirement decisions. A life-altering diagnosis brings ongoing worry about medical bills. We look at steady lifetime income and protecting your principal, and some annuity contracts or riders can increase income payments for qualifying health conditions, under the terms of the contract.
Adult children who hold Power of Attorney for a parent, or parents whose adult child will manage their finances one day. Whether you are the child holding the POA or the parent planning to hand over control, there are many questions about goals and accounts. We help organize that discovery so you can spend your time with family.
Widowed or single seniors who are very independent. You worked hard all your life, you have been a provider, and you do not want to depend on family or friends if disability or money troubles come. We look at ways to build steady lifetime income so you can face the future with more confidence.
Health care costs are part of the picture. In 2026, single people with income above $109,000 and couples above $218,000, based on the tax return from two years earlier, pay an income-related amount on top of the Part B premium, starting at $284.10 a month instead of $202.90 (CMS). Required minimum distributions from traditional IRAs and most work plans generally begin at age 73 (IRS) and count as income, so the timing of withdrawals matters for your Medicare premium too.
Social Security timing affects everything else. For anyone born in 1960 or later, full retirement age is 67, and claiming at 62 cuts the benefit by 30%: a $1,000 benefit becomes $700 for life. Waiting past full retirement age adds 8% a year until 70 (Social Security Administration). The $1,000 is the agency's own example; your statement has your real figure. Medicare still starts at 65 whenever you claim.
What this session is not: we do not give investment, securities, tax or legal advice, and we do not promise returns. If a question belongs with your financial advisor, accountant or attorney, we will say so, and we are glad to work alongside them. Any annuity or insurance product discussed is subject to underwriting and the issuing company's approval.
We pride ourselves in being the expert from start to finish. Consultations are by phone, Zoom, or in person, at no cost to you: call or text Jackie at (856) 727-4221.
The session is open to New Jersey residents by phone, Zoom, or in person, and there is no cost and no obligation.
Medicare costs and dates are part of every session, because they shape your retirement budget: your enrollment window, your Part B premium, and whether a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan fits your income plan.
For a no-cost, no-obligation review, call or text Jackie at (856) 727-4221. Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE list every plan in your area if you want to check a comparison against the full list, and your county Office on Aging can point you to local programs.
You are near or in retirement, managing a parent's finances under a Power of Attorney, facing a health change that affects your plans, or living independently and want steady income you can count on.
We find which of our four client groups fits you, map your income, Medicare dates and Social Security timing, and look at gaps such as income you cannot outlive and final expenses. There is no fee and no obligation, and nothing is recommended until we understand your situation.
