Cherry Hill was incorporated on March 13, 1844 as Delaware Township, part of the new Camden County, and was described in 1886 as a prosperous agricultural community. It kept that name until December 6, 1961, when the township officially became Cherry Hill Township.
The township has a Senior Services Coordinator at 820 Mercer Street (856-488-7878). Its programs for older residents include:
Jefferson Health lists Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital at 2201 Chapel Avenue West, but the CMS hospital file has no separate Cherry Hill record, so the table on this page shows the nearby CMS records instead, including Virtua Voorhees Hospital on Bowman Drive. Whatever hospital you use, Jackie checks it against each plan network before you enroll.
The county congregate meal site for Cherry Hill is the Katz Jewish Community Center, 1301 Springdale Road, weekdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (856-374-6325).

Cherry Hill is a township, which the Census Bureau treats as a county subdivision rather than a place, so its Census figures are the Cherry Hill township subdivision. Its CDC PLACES health figures combine ZIP codes 08002, 08003 and 08034, which together cover the township.
New Jersey totals are the sum of all 21 New Jersey counties in the same Census release; a statewide median is not computed here. Survey estimates for small towns carry wide margins of error.
Medicare Advantage plans are approved by county, so Cherry Hill residents see the Camden County list. Figures from the CMS Landscape file for contract year 2027; Special Needs Plans are counted separately.
Two ways to count "$0 premium" plans: 33 have a $0 Part C premium, and 24 have a $0 combined monthly premium for Parts C and D (17 of those include drug coverage; 7 have no drug coverage, so no Part D premium). How to read this table: each row is one plan on the Camden County list with a 2026 star rating of 4 or higher, sorted by rating and then by out-of-pocket limit. The Part C + D premium is monthly, the out-of-pocket limit is the most you pay in a year for covered in-network care, and the plan ID lets you find the exact plan on Medicare.gov. A high rating is a quality signal, not proof that your doctors or prescriptions are covered.
See every Camden County plan with premiums and limits, or compare plans for your ZIP code with the plan finder.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Model-based small-area estimates of crude prevalence among adults 18 and over, not a count of local diagnoses. Crude rates follow the age mix of a place: an older community reads higher on most conditions. The Cherry Hill (ZIP codes 08002, 08003 and 08034) figures combine ZIP code tabulation areas 08002, 08003 and 08034, weighted by adult population. For people with qualifying chronic conditions: Cardiovascular Disorders; Chronic Heart Failure; Chronic Kidney Disease; Diabetes Mellitus.
For people who live in, or need the level of care of, a long-term care facility.

Camden County. Cherry Hill Township lies wholly in Camden County, and CMS approves Medicare Advantage plans county by county, so every Cherry Hill address uses the Camden County list. Neighbouring Mount Laurel and Moorestown are in Burlington County and use a different list.
Jefferson Health lists Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital at 2201 Chapel Avenue West, but the CMS Hospital General Information file has no separate record with a Cherry Hill address; CMS keeps one record per Medicare certification. Network status is set plan by plan, so Jackie checks the hospital you actually use before you enroll.

For people with Medicare and a limited income, New Jersey's Medicare Savings Programs, PAAD, Senior Gold and NJ FamilyCare can help with costs; the guides linked on this page explain each one.
